If You are reading this, it means we are finally re-open for e-commerce and the website is up and running smoothly. It has been a long break for TSK for almost a year now after a personal round of hardship in 2018 but I am happy to say that I am back with fully stocked shelves (for now) in a new city and ready for its joys and challenges.
It is all thanks to my customers, really. My customers who have been checking in with me, placing orders even through the temporary break and shut down; you all are the heartbeat of this little company. Thank you for all the well wishes and compliments on my craftsmanship and unique products. Although herbalism is something passed down to me from my grandmother, soap-making is a craft I discovered on my own at a pivotal period in my life and I never would have expected it to grow into a business or into a passion and therapy for me.
This company started with One product: our Signature Kokum Meringue Body Butter. This product was sold on Etsy as what completely healed my eczema. psoriasis, brightened my skin and faded dark spots and hyperpigmentation related to the large amounts of topical steroid ointments and creams my doctor recommended.
Customers told me how much that product has helped them with the same conditions and also how it livened up their tattoos and imparted moisture to their hair. My curiosity then grew into soap-making 100% from scratch and as I documented myself learning and crafting my following grew and customers asked to buy which led me to sell my first few batches of soap I ever made at a rapid pace and TSK was born.
This was a bit of an accidental company, but I wouldn't change it for the world. I absolutely love what I do.
We are now known to formulate our recipes geared specifically for dry, sensitive, eczema riddle skin while also crafting our soaps into beautiful, naturally colored bars you can be proud to have in you skin care regimen. Much more so than those amber medication bottles of Predisone and other steroids such as the topical ointment tubes that do more harm than good.
Trust me. I spent many years of my life in that rabbit hole. And while the FDA forbids natural companies from making those claims, I am proof and so are my customers and supporters.
Our soaps are unique as we focus more so on recipe. We love a highly conditioning, creamy, silky, buttery lather that gives you the feeling of washing your skin with a lotion. A Soap recipe that does not leave your skin dry, itchy, or cracking. True soap made from high quality natural oils, exotic butters, and holistic medicinal plant-based additives ranging anywhere from anti-inflammatory mushrooms to Avocado, carrots, calendula and honey.
Along my journey I discovered that although, soap making is an art form, recipe formulation is an entire separate science and art form in itself--but it makes my job that much more fun. I love seeing customers reaction to my soap, hearing about their results and getting to know them on a personal level. You all inspire these products and when we talk, trust me I am taking notes on the next formulation.
