A Look into our *NEW Calendula Infused Rosemary & Honey Conditioning Shampoo Bars

This is a post I am really excited to share!
Since the formulation and testing phase of our brand new Calendula Infused, RoseMary & Honey Conditioning Shampoo Bars, I just new it would be a shop favorite so I am very excited to introduce it to you.
I formulated these all natural bars to give a deep, rich, moisturizing lather coupled with all of the great ingredients the hair and scalp loves. I start by doing a warm infusion of Calendula petals in our base oils and letting this process slowly draw out all of the healing properties of the calendula directly into the oils. I decided to leave the petals in the base oils before blending into smaller pieces so as to not snag the hair strands. By leaving the petals in, all of the benefits of this amazing flower can be absorbed into the scalp and hair strands and further infuse into the bar itself during gel phase of the soap making process.
I wanted to challenge the notion that natural soap and shampoo bars simply don't lather as well or as much as commercial bottled shampoos you may find in your supermarket (that may also contain harmful SLS. A lathering surfectant that robs your hair and skin of it's natural moisture and sebum production).
I borrowed a beard to show the lush lather of our sulfate-free, surfactant free, paraben & plastic free shampoo bars made from 100% natural oils.
Our Calendula infused Rosemary & Honey Conditioning Shampoo Bars
combine Rosemary, Tea Tree and Honey to strengthen the hair, promote blood circulation the scalp, and cleanse it of bacteria. Neem oil acts as an anti inflammatory agent to rid our hair of unseen pests in the spring time and micro bacterias that may live in our scalp causing dandruff, fungi, psoriasis or eczema.
This shampoo bar imparts shine and manageability to the kinkiest and curliest of hair types and softens the roughest textured beards. A Little goes a long way, and it lathers quite a bit. Once you achieve a lather with just a few strokes along  your hair section, use your fingers to work the lather into your scalp and hair.
These bars are cut into huge 7.5oz chunks that fit in the palm of your hand but we always recommend cutting natural bar soaps into smaller pieces and using just what you need at a time in order to get the most bang for your buck and to preserve your bar. I cut slices from my personal bar and use that slice until it is gone. By washing my hair once per week (and I have a whole head of long thick hair) This slice lasts about a month for me. I imagine the entire bar to last about 3-4 months with proper care.
Care for your natural soaps and shampoo bars by keeping them dry and out of the heat of shower steam. You can keep your natural bars in a soap dish away from your shower between uses or use one of our 100% natural sisal fiber soap bags and simply hanging it from your shower hook.
